Restaurant Review: Posto (Somerville, MA)
Updated: Dec 11, 2022
Italian-Style Pizza in Davis Square
Located in the busy neighbor of Davis Square in Somerville, Posto is situated about a 20 minute drive from downtown Boston. While there are several bars in the Davis Square area, Posto is located on the outskirts of the square and so is in a more supportive area. On a Monday evening, the restaurant was quiet at 6:30, but became steadily busier as the night progressed. Patrons encounter the bar area immediately upon entering Posto; however, it is not the focal point of the restaurant. All restaurant patrons were there to enjoy a meal. We were sat in the back dining area, which put the bar out of sight, but also meant that the windows were out of view. The high ceilings made the smaller space of the back room feel much larger.

The service was excellent, absolutely no pressure to order anything alcoholic, and our server recommended the Blood Orange spritzer as her preferred mocktail. It was not only delicious, but well presented! There are two mocktails and a non-alcoholic beer on Posto's beverage menu. As for the food...to start, I would absolutely recommend the burrata with prosciutto, pear, pistachio and honey drizzle. Posto has an excellent assortment of both red and white based pizzas...all with thin crust. We ordered both the soppressata and prosciutto pizzas (see photos). Will definitely return!
