Restaurant Review: Bar Mezzana (Boston, MA.)

Contemporary Italian restaurant located in the South End neighborhood of Boston. Seafood focus.

A creative non-alcoholic beverage selection is a welcome addition to this South End staple. Started off the dining experience at the bar with good non-alcoholic recommendations from the bar staff. The Blackberry Bramble Spritz was especially tasty! No pressure experienced at the bar or from the dining room waitstaff to order alcohol. While most of the clientele are imbibing and the atmosphere is lively, the crowd isn't raucous or heavy drinking. Excellent selection of high quality crudos and fresh pastas. Be sure to try the lobster pasta, as it's delicious. While I dined at a window table looking out to Harrison Ave, the focal point of the dining room is the open kitchen. There are also booths available. Looking forward to returning in the warmer months to experience Bar Mezzana's outdoor dining!
